Filming blog 2

Even though we had a  brief time filming at the park the time, the second time was a hour long but felt shorter. I think it's because we knew what we had to do and was on the same agenda. We did the video again but did the entire song to see which part of the song we should do. We chose the beginning when we finished.

We played the song outloud so I could know what I'm lip singing. This makes editing easier as well. Also, since I know the song I didn't lip sing any curse words since the principal is going to see it.

We had lots of scenes to choose from since we were there for a hour. In conclusion, the video will be amazing because of all the scenes we shot.

Filming blog 1

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, my partner and went the park to film. It took us 2 days to film because last time we had about 10 mins of filming because the park security sid the park was closed and we had to go home. As a result, we came back on Saturday because I went to a friends house on friday.
We met and instantly went  to work. We had to choose who was going to be in the video because only one person sings the song and it would be cringy if two people sing a song by one person. We both came to the conclusion that I was going to sing the song  because I have the energy to do the video and my partner has good handling with the camera.
We shot the video at afternoon so it wasn't as cold as we thought it would be. The first day was not as bad but it could've been better if we could knock the filming out the first day so we wouldn't come back to film again. Even though  this situation was kinda exhausting, it made the video look better because most actors in rap videos wear at least 2 outfits.

Storyboard blog

My partner and  ate doing our storyboard blog. At first, the blog seemed complicated but our teachers explained the blog to a tea, literally.

The video takes place in the park.  The camera angles and shots(cams)we will be using ate low angles, high angles, close shots, and medium shots.

The first scene is a close shot at the back of the actors head. I will make a title in this scene to make it an opening scene. When the beat dtops, the first scene will transition to the second scene where the actor is on a slide rapping. Next the third scene is where the song gets more up beat so the actor is shown in a long shot dancing to the song and rapping.

The fourth scene  is shown to be like the other but in a different area in the park. However, this scene is a high angle so the actor is looking up at the camera. Next, the fifth scene is a low angle of the actor getting hype and rapping on the stairs while looking down at the camera. Finally, the closing scene is the actor at a close eye to eye shot of him looking down as the music dies down.

Editing blog

Today, our editing blog is due. My partner isn't here today but I edited the video so it should be fine. I'm going to send the video Sunday so I won't have to worry about anything on monday. Mybpartner and I have worked diligently on this video so I'm sure is going to be a "banger".

The editing software I used was filmora because in my own opinion, filmora is the best editing software in the game. It's not only advanced, it's simple and easy to use. I added some amazing effects to the video because I bout the lifetime oack for filmora and I'm not letting it go to waste. We filmed alot so I went over the videos over and over to see what I want. After doing this I imported the clips I wanted. I then cut the videos and add transitions. Lastly, , I added the effects that made the video better. Since rap video are often filmed raw, I used more jump cuts than transition so it won't look like a power point.

This was all I did for my editing. The only thing wrong with my video is that is longer than the recommended duration that the teachers have me. However, this makes the video better because I added all the things I needed to make the video look amazing. My house is very loud and full of ruckus so that made editing the video harder for me to do. But I got it done so I'm good.

Planning blog

Today my partner and I will be doing our planning blog. We also have another blog due but we're going to do both today so we won't have to worry about it later.

Locaton- The location is going to be at the park. We chose this because it's the easiest location to meet up at and shoot the video. Also the park is a public area so we dont have to ask permission to shoot our video. the park can also fit into the music video because it's just an open area. We might have different ideas for the location but this is the location for now.

Health and Safety-  since it's cold outside, we most likely going to wear jackets because Floridians can handle a hurricane but not the cold. We're going to get to the park car. There's probably going to be people at the park so safety shouldn't be a worry. The weather is the only thing against us right now. It's so cold right now that I could piss icicles. In conclusion, jackets are a necessity for this video.

Props- props won't be needed in the video because rap videos dont really have props. Rap videos are usually shot raw and uncut. The thing that makes the rap video is the emotion and movement of the actor or rapper.

Costumes- are costumes will be normal but clean cloths. Most rappers dress casually and comfortably in their videos because rappers rap about thier everyday lifestyle. As a result they dress how they usually dress everyday or when they want to dress casual. We won't be matching because thats weird. The only thing we're going to be wearing that's the same are jackets.

Scedual-  whenever we're ready to film our video we'll call and meet at the park.

Music video blog

Aice media just cant give me a break. After rushing to do my last minute yet awesome commercial, I get a blog assignment on my music video project. I'm honestly going to pass this project since I have a partner now. The project is also off campus so we dont have any limits to where we could shoot our music video. All in all, I'm kinda excited for the project.

The song I chose was self control by NBA youngboy. My partner chose micheal jackson but none of can dance for 1 minute so I chose someone more chill. We might have an argument about the song but it's going to be clean.

The genre of the music video is rap. I dont really know what tempo we're going to be moving at. There are alot of close shots, mid shots, and long shots. We might get creative and add tilt to make the video more exciting. The sound has a slow tempo with large bass. I'll edit the video because I just bought a lifetime plan on filmora and I'm not going to waste it. Rap videos dont really have transitions. They just have jump cuts  but I could add at least one.

Individual editing blog

Well my blog might be short  due to the shortage of computer and the amount of people we have in class. Luckily  for me, I was the first one to get a laptop. As the teacher said, I logged on to pinnacle to edit my footage. I had 17 videos to cut and transition from. There was lots of tools to edit and make my footage look like a real commercial. On the contrast, the editing program logged me out several times and caused me to act out of character. We also didnt have enough time to edit everything so the teacher had to give us extra time. In conclusion the editing program was pretty good but had its flaws.

Filming blog

After being bedridden for a week by the flu, my luck seemed to be running out. I come back to school and there's 3 tests, 2 projects, and loads of worksheets. At this point, I was qlmost ready to drop out and live in a trailer home with 4 kids and an ugly oger I would call a wife. However, my mother motivated me to do my best because there would be greater things that will lay ahead. So the first project that I did was film my commercial for my Aice media class. Since I could use the school as my film ground, I'd go to a park to film. My mom filmed me playing basketball. Next, my friend, Keith helped me with pass the ball with each other.  Next I took a couple scenes using a training rope. Basically, that's all the footage I recorded.

Editing lesson blog

Today, I watched an editing project for my project. I have few knowledge on editing with the app filmora but there's more to it than a little app. Dont get me wrong, filmora is a great for everybody to start on. It has lots of features, sound effects, and graphic designs that will make a beginer look like a pro in minutes. However, this editing lesson really gives more information about editing. Pinnacle is the recommended site to use for editing my project. The teacher says the site has "a mind of it's own" as it is shown to "get angry" if you rush it. The site is kinda slow so I asked the teacher if I could use another site. She allowed it but only if I could bring it to class.

Pinnacle has the same features as filmora but just looks more complicated than what it needs to be. This site could be simpler but you have to click and wait excessively for you to get what you want out of the site. Filmora on the other hand, is very simple and has the same if not better transitions and tools. Now, since my media teacher tought me more about editing I can now spread my wings and edit better at will. I never dumped my footage on a computer from a camera, so it was a pleasure  to know how to do it. First, stick the sd card from your camera in your sd card reader. Once the card is in the computer, pinnacle will pop up on your screen. Now you can you can take the sd card and put it in the USB. Now make a folder and import your work into that folder. Now you're ready to edit your takes that you use blood, sweat, and tears to shoot.

Now that you imported, you should definitely check the dcim folder. If you cant find it(in which you most likely will), go to private. You should see something called AVCHD. You should now log into pinnacle and press stream. This will allow you to see all footage you have on the camera. Press import on pinnacle, click COM, then your list of footage will be created. In my opinion, you should import all the footage instead of the ones you like because you never know what you want in your video. When you click your raw footage, drag it to track 2 or AVtrack2. You can move the a line on the edit screen anywhere you want to cut you footage. You can add features in between  your footage. Make sure when you press your footage that there's an orange box around it.all titles go on track 1.
Your sound is located on the bottom of your footage. It looks like purple squiggly lines. If you dont want your sound you can right click, detach, and delete the sound from the footage.when you're done with everything, press export to share it to someone. Press MP4 to signify that this is a video. Press best quality, then start your export.

Planning blog for nike commercial

Today I sadly have to create my planning blog for an one hundred point grade. To be honest, I actually making blogs so this should be easy.

      Props

Props are a very important factor in making my Nike commercial. I will be bringing a number of items to show that all athletes of any sport are welcome to nike. It also gives me more scents to do if I bring certain props. I'll be bringing a basketball and football. The weight room also has weight I'm using as props but I'm counting the whole thing as a scene.

 Costumes

The costumes or outfits I'll be wearing are all nike since I'm doing a nike commercial.it wouldn't make sense if wore a damn Adidas jacket wouldn't it. I'll go into to detail. Actors will wear a nike just do it shirt, nike just do it pants, and some nike shoes that ill eventually find in my closet. I might wear a nike gators outfit to piss off one of my teacher since I see alot of Seminole souvenirs around the class.

   Schedule

Today I'm doing the blog you're about to read right now. On October 14th, I'm doing the storyboard blog. On October 21st, I'm doing the filming blog. Finally, on october 23rd, I'm doing the editing blog.

  Location

My location will be on and in all sports facilities on campus. My first will be on the track where I'll show a scene of someone running. To follow through that scene, I'll show a scene on the football field where I'll show someone passing(throwing)the ball a receiver. The next scene will take place on the basketball court of someone alone taking shots to emphasize the work ethic athletes who wear nike have.the last scene will be the weight room wear someone will be lifting weights. The closing scene will be in the gym where all the people from each scene come together in nike gear.

  Back-up plan

If it rains the video will ne even better. I'll only use indoor facilities to shoot my video which would be quicker. Instead of going on the field the two scenes, I was going to use for outdoors, I'll use it to show it's raining outside but the players working indoors to show that they can work anywhere and nothing will stop them from getting better. Instead of the track, I'll use the stairs to run on and I'll going in the weight with the football and they can still do their scene. So basically, this project should be a success any way you look at it.

Intorductory

My name is Emanas. I'm a freshman at Ft.lauderdale highschool. Even though their school is 6th in academics, I was really attracted to their football program. I think I really have a chance getting a scholarship here.

I was born september 25 in miami. Grew up there but moved to broward a few years ago because my parents had my little brother.after my little brother, my sister and other brother were born. My father was a truck driver at the time so he wasn't really home. My mom stayed home caring for us.

Ever since I was a baby i love football. I was good at it too. My peers and their parents would praise me and say i would make it big one day. So I stuck with and I got better. My  parents motivate me to get my grades though so I worry more about my grades than sports. I still try to balance my life emotionally, physically, and mentally.
