Editing lesson blog

Today, I watched an editing project for my project. I have few knowledge on editing with the app filmora but there's more to it than a little app. Dont get me wrong, filmora is a great for everybody to start on. It has lots of features, sound effects, and graphic designs that will make a beginer look like a pro in minutes. However, this editing lesson really gives more information about editing. Pinnacle is the recommended site to use for editing my project. The teacher says the site has "a mind of it's own" as it is shown to "get angry" if you rush it. The site is kinda slow so I asked the teacher if I could use another site. She allowed it but only if I could bring it to class.

Pinnacle has the same features as filmora but just looks more complicated than what it needs to be. This site could be simpler but you have to click and wait excessively for you to get what you want out of the site. Filmora on the other hand, is very simple and has the same if not better transitions and tools. Now, since my media teacher tought me more about editing I can now spread my wings and edit better at will. I never dumped my footage on a computer from a camera, so it was a pleasure  to know how to do it. First, stick the sd card from your camera in your sd card reader. Once the card is in the computer, pinnacle will pop up on your screen. Now you can you can take the sd card and put it in the USB. Now make a folder and import your work into that folder. Now you're ready to edit your takes that you use blood, sweat, and tears to shoot.

Now that you imported, you should definitely check the dcim folder. If you cant find it(in which you most likely will), go to private. You should see something called AVCHD. You should now log into pinnacle and press stream. This will allow you to see all footage you have on the camera. Press import on pinnacle, click COM, then your list of footage will be created. In my opinion, you should import all the footage instead of the ones you like because you never know what you want in your video. When you click your raw footage, drag it to track 2 or AVtrack2. You can move the a line on the edit screen anywhere you want to cut you footage. You can add features in between  your footage. Make sure when you press your footage that there's an orange box around it.all titles go on track 1.
Your sound is located on the bottom of your footage. It looks like purple squiggly lines. If you dont want your sound you can right click, detach, and delete the sound from the footage.when you're done with everything, press export to share it to someone. Press MP4 to signify that this is a video. Press best quality, then start your export.
